The Interceptor®-FV® is a completely passive isolation device designed to prevent the propagation of deflagration in a duct or pipeline. This NFPA 69 compliant flap valve features a painted carbon steel body with a mechanically retained open flap, which allows for easier material flow through the device. During an upset condition, the regular flow is interrupted and flux of pressure coming from the opposite directions causes the Interceptor®-FV® to slam and lock shut, effectively preventing the dust deflagration from propagating to interconnected equipment or areas. The flap valve’s design allows the device to be effectively used in low dust loading applications, such as dust collection systems, cyclones, and mills.

The Interceptor®-HRD chemical isolation system is an NFPA 69 compliant solution. The principle of operation for the Interceptor®-HRD system is timely detection of the pressure rise or flame-front during the initial stage of an explosion, followed by fast injection of an extinguishing agent from the 5L isolation bottle. Comprised of a CONEX Controller, a pressure or optical detector, and a 5L isolation bottle, the Interceptor®-HRD chemical isolation system is ideal for almost any application. With several suppressant agents available, the Interceptor®-HRD is ideal for both sanitary and non-sanitary applications, such as including pneumatic conveying systems, dust collection systems, cyclones, mills, dryers, conveyors, and storage vessels.

The Interceptor®-SG® is a completely air operated slide gate valve, compliant with NFPA 69 standards. The Interceptor®-SG® slide gate valve is a normally open device with pneumatic air cylinders containing compressed air to lock the valve shut once a signal from a pressure detector is received, indicating the start of a deflagration. The air operated Interceptor®-SG® slide gate valve can be quickly rearmed at the controls after activation without any rebuild or ignitor replacement. The valve’s stainless-steel bore makes it ideal for food-grade applications, as well as almost any system, including pneumatic conveying systems, dust collection systems, cyclones, mills, storage vessels, and metal dust applications.

The Interceptor®-VE® is an NFPA 69 compliant isolation pinch valve solution to prevent the propagation of a deflagration in a duct or pipeline. The Interceptor®-VE® is an NFPA 69 compliant valve with a natural rubber bladder that inflates with the release of compressed air from high speed solenoid valves, instantaneously closing the valve. Upon receiving a signal from a pressure detector, optical detector, or explosion vent the Interceptor®-VE® valve is designed to rapidly close. The medium for actuation is plant-compressed air stored in a tank on the valve to ensure the fastest response possible under any plant conditions. With little vendor support required and no protrusion into the duct, the Interceptor®-VE® is ideal for almost any system, including pneumatic conveying systems, dust collection systems, cyclones, mills, and storage vessels.

The Ventex® is an NFPA compliant passive isolation device designed to prevent the propagation of deflagration in a duct or pipeline. This NFPA 69 compliant float valve features a painted carbon steel body with a floating disc in the middle of the valve. The Ventex® isolation valve is designed to operate by closing when the pressure wave of the explosion slams and locks the valve shut. During an upset condition, the regular flow is interrupted and a deflagration’s pressure wave causes the floating disc to close shut, effectively preventing the dust deflagration from propagating to interconnected equipment or areas. The Ventex® valve is ideal for use for light dust loading or clean air isolation applications on a variety of different process equipment. Examples include dust collectors, cyclones, mills, pneumatic conveying receivers, and dryers.
